Our Gluten Detectives meet at 6:30 p.m. on the first Monday of the month. These hour-long classes are filled with a variety of educational and support activities. Whether you’re a Junior Detective (age 3-7), Senior Detective (age 8-12) or Captain (age 13-17), please come and meet others who are battling and overcoming the same challenges you are!
Photos will be taken for your official Gluten Detective i.d. card at your first class. Hope to see you there, gluten sleuths!
Gluten Detective Badge of Honor, May Winner!
We are proud to showcase Gluten Detectives who are making a difference in their community. This month's Badge of Honor winner is Gluten Detective, Camden, who introduced Jules of gfJules Flour to the Gluten Detective Program by wearing his camp teeshirt to the GFFAF event in Minneapolis. Great job of advocating, Camden! If you would like to nominate a Gluten Detective who is investigating, advocating or celebrating, please fill out attached form (below).
Good Times at the Great Gluten Detective Get-Together!
Children from over six states convened at the Celiac Center's Gluten Detective Camp on July 22nd, 23rd and 24th as they learned valuable coping skills to lead a gluten free life. Over the course of three days, the children received cooking lessons, filmed public service announcements, enjoyed crafts and games designed to facilitate discussion, and met Elias, the world's first gluten detecting service dog! The Gluten Detectives learned how to "investigate, advocate and celebrate"--all while making new friends, eating delicious gluten free food and making memories to last until next year's camp!
The 2015 Gluten Detectives Camp will be held on August 4, 5 and 6. The registration form is available below:
